FOUNDATIONAL
PRESUPPOSITIONS:
I. BIBLICAL VIEW OF
MAN . (Rom. 3:10
12,23; Jer. 17:9; I Cor. 6:9 11).
A. Sin nature - like a car out
of alignment, man's natural tendancy is toward the ditch.
B. His potential - man can change through regeneration and
progressive sanctification.
II. BIBLICAL VIEW OF
TEMPTATION . (I Cor. 10:13;
Jam. 1:13 16).
A. Certainty - the promise of
God that we will not be broken.
B. Hope - always a way out, look for it. Desires are the root
cause of our sin. Deal with them.
III. BIBLICAL VIEW OF
SPIRITUAL GROWTH .
(Eph. 4:22 24; Rom. 8:28 29).
A. Dominant controlling
orientation of the old man: DESIRE
DOMINATED .
B. Dominant controlling orientation of the new man:
PRINCIPLE ORIENTED .
IV. BIBLICAL VIEW OF
SEXUALITY . (Heb. 13:4; I Cor.
7:1 15; Prov. 5:15 20).
A. In marriage - sex is right,
holy and pure.
B. Outside of marriage - pre marital, extra marital sex is sin
and will be judged by God.
V. BIBLICAL VIEW OF THE
CHURCH . (Eph. 4:11 16; Gal. 6:1 2; Matt. 18:15
17).
A. Teaching how to avoid
falling.
B. Teaching how to get up and change when you do
fall.
BUILDING BLOCKS TO MORAL
PURITY:
1. THOUGHT Control.
(Prov. 23:7; Rom. 12:2; Phil. 4:8).
2. EYE Control. (Job
31:1; Psalm 101:3; Prov. 4:23,25; Matt. 6:22 23).
3. BODY Control. (I

4. FRIEND Control. (I
Cor. 15:33; Prov. 13:20 21; 22:24 25; 27:17; 5:9 11).
5. CIRCUMSTANCE Control.

6. INFLUENCE Control.
